Do you like glamour?

Do you like being charitable?

Since I know you answered “YES!” to both of those questions, I expect to see your gorgeous face at the annual Fashion Fights Cancer event on August 19. The event, which consists of a star-studded fashion show and unbelievable sample sale, will be held at Manhattan ’s Audi Forum from 6:30pm to 11:30 pm.

Five designers will showcase pieces from their collection during the fashion show, which will be available for purchase at the sample sale. This year’s participating Fashion Fights Cancer designers include New York Fashion Week’s Tadashi Shoji, Beauty Mark (designed by Bryon Lars), Whistle & Flute, Lotusgrace and Kahri (designed by Kahrianne Kerr).

Want to know more about these designers? Well, it’s lucky you have me! Here’s the low down:

Japanese designer Tadashi Shoji and his collections have earned praise and respect from editors, fashion critics and red-carpet celebrities such as Shakira, Tyra Banks, Deborah Messing, Emmy Rossum, Kate Walsh and Sara Ramirez for his innovative designs since 1982. This year’s collection promises to be just as dazzling!

Since its fashion world debut in 1991, Byron Lars Beauty Mark has established itself for wearable remixed American classics. His reinterpretations of classic looks have been spotted on everyone from First Lady Michelle Obama to Barbie.

Whistle & Flute designs are based on the contrast and melding of masculine and feminine. Yoon Chang and Je-Won Hwang launched Whistle & Flute in New York City in 2007 with the mission of creating clothes with a “thoughtful and considered edge, rather than just fashion for its own sake.“

Designers Greg Pellegrini and Eric Sweeney of Lotusgrace are known for their twists on iconic dresses. Their creations are classic and complimentary on every woman – resulting in a perfect look!

Kahrianne Kerr got her start designing clothes during her high school years in Iowa . Now, Kahri’s hip, funky, rocker chic designs are sold worldwide and worn by celebrities such as Fergie, Aubrey from Danity Kane and Paris Hilton.

Not too shabby, right?

A percentage of all sample sale and ticket purchases will be donated to I’m Too Young for This! Cancer Foundation and The Cancer Research Institute, so be sure to get your tickets to this amazing event!
